Presence Film
Soderbergh tests his film-making abilities with this clever paranormal narrative filmed completely from the viewpoint of the phantom. As a family featuring mother Rebekah and troubled teenage daughter Chloe occupies their fresh home, the camera – AKA the Presence – follows them around. The teen shows signs of conscious of the poltergeist, and it looks like protective of her. But why? This is an entertaining concept that remains concise, including a revelation you might not see coming. This Saturday, afternoon and evening times, Sky Cinema Premiere

The Black Phone Horror
Scott Derrickson's claustrophobic thriller remains effective despite the lack of a sequel. Located in 1970s Colorado, several kidnappings has made the youth frightened. After Finney gets captured by the villain and held captive in a cellar, he fears a fatal end. However, the old telephone in the room continues to ring, with spooky callers providing assistance, as the prophetic visions of his sister Gwen may be his salvation. A solid creepfest. Saturday 11 October, 10.50pm, on Film4
The Eyes of Tammy Faye
In the battle between faith and wealth, the winner is obvious for Mammon in Showalter's wonderfully garish film adaptation of the disgraced TV preacher and her felon spouse. The actor acts as the venal Jim, who states at the beginning, asserting religious justification for riches. The couple commence profiting from the American public's Christian beliefs. It's an extravaganza of tacky decor, excessive cosmetics and bad faith, however Chastain achieves to depict the real-life figure as a sympathetic figure. Next Tuesday, late night, the Film4 channel
